Seek shade

Hangout, originally uploaded by MontanaRaven.

I am a shade-seeker, though I love the concept of sun. If I have a choice between sitting in the sun and sitting in the shade, I almost always choose shade...

I LOVE the chairs!

they were easy to do, Pam -- I found them at the dump. Someone was throwing them away. With a little repair work (not much -- remember I'm married to a woodworker, but he only works on fine furniture, heheh) and some bright outdoor paint, they make a cheerful addition to our porch or out in the garden. I love the colors and the way none of the chairs "match." Even in the winter, there is a splash of color amidst the brown or against the white snow. And since I got them for free -- and they're really still kinda falling apart) I don't worry about leaving them in the rain or weather. That just lends them more character. Like people, eh? :-)

Oh, so true! And character is a good thing...yes?

I think the color and form of your chairs in winter would be like art...a statement on white.

yes -- character is an important part of personality -- even of a chair's personality. ;-}

Not sure I have a photo of these chairs in the snow, but here are a couple more views of the same chairs last year and the year before, when they were freshly painted. They really do get around. I'm constantly moving them.
