We are the miracle of force and matter making itself over into imagination and will. Incredible. The Life Force experimenting with forms. You for one. Me for another. The Universe has shouted itself alive. We are one of the shouts.
-- Ray Bradbury
... and as much as we are one of the shouts, so too are the salmon, the bear, the hawk, the mountain, stream and light. These pieces are part of a series I am working on, about Life Force. If you like these, please check back to see others I will post as I complete them. Thank you for looking.

What would the world be,
once bereft Of wet and wildness?
Let them be left,
O let them be left,
wildness and wet,
Long live the weeds and
the wildness yet.

maureen, i LOVE these 2 montages! the colours, the textures, the subtextures, the familiarity, the subject...all are wonderful! i have not shown them to Ollie yet, but will do that next time we are on the computer together.

Nice to see a comment from you here, MB ... what did Ollie think of these? Have you shown them to him yet? It would be fun sometime to give the boys an inexpensive digital camera (maybe let them use the faulty one you have when you have replaced it) Let them take a bunch of photos from their point of view ... then you could play with them on the computer in Photoshop or Picasa and see what they come up with. I know your present camera is screwing up -- but it still takes photos, right? For the purposes of play, it wouldn't really matter to the kids, since they're not going to end up with "perfect" pics anyway. I would do that with them. When are you coming down to to visit?

Tammy and E. I always appreciate what you have to share. Thanks!
