Photo Friday: When she dances
When she dances
when she dances
earth and sky
bend with her
fire leaps
like hands
telling stories
river moves
in calligraphic
graces
mist shrouds
mountain shoulder
hidden-- Maureen Shaughnessy
Today's post began with a randomly chosen prompt from Poetry Thursday, writing some words inspired by an image. I made the above collage for no other reason than "I had to," and the words just came as I watched what I was making.

The Poetry Thursday crowd is on summer break which gives me "official" permission to do what I always do anyway -- that is, to ignore the weekly prompt. Or not.

Beautiful collage. Lovely words too.
A completely lovely poem.
This is so beautiful that I want to share it with all my girlfriends, particularly the ones who have danced with me around fires and under the stars!
I have always loved to dance, even alone. And especially outside. Your poem and art touched my soul.
Your poem really captures the sense of dancing. Beautiful collage too.
Stunning poetry that really compliments your "Friday Photo." You picture's always bring beauty to my eye's! HUGS
