E ... thanks - yes it is my mom. It's a photo I took a couple years ago when she and I took a trip together to visit Gabe in Eugene. This was near the Oregon Sand Dunes. I really like it -- though if I took the same photo with my new camera .... it would be alot better [grin] guess I'll have to do the trip again, eh?
The photo you posted on your blog today would have been a wonderful submittal for Photo Friday's theme, Alone, this week. What an amazing view she must have from that precipice!
ah, I would love to do that too, Endment -- right now i'm pulling my hair out trying to get a website finished for the woodworker's guild in Helena. It's anything BUT peaceful quiet and serene here. :-)

Beautiful photo! I think I remember from other pictures I've seen that this is your mom, am I right?

This has a very Medieval fantasy kind of look to it. The staff, cloak and slate gray ocean and sky.
yesw, i agree with you Pam -- medieval... I always thought she looked like a gnome or hobbit in that cloak with the walking stick.
Thanks M, I did end up posting that one for Photo Friday.
The wonderful images of solitude
Would love to spend an hour or two enjoying the quiet and serenity...

its grandmother ocean to me. how would I say that in huichol?
It's pronounced Tatay HaraMara If I could figure out how to type an accent over the "e" it would be spelled Tate HaraMara
